With less than 2 months of the 2017 left, that means another semester is coming to a close even sooner than that. So, now is the critical time to make sure your grades are in good standing, extra credit opportunities are available, and you are on your professors friendly side (In case you need to finesse a curved GPA). But here on the East Coast, the weather is getting colder and coincidentally my bed is becoming 100x more comfortable, so it’s becoming harder each day to get out of bed and focus on getting things done.
No need to fear – Erika is here!!
Here’s a list of tips I developed that have helped me survive some of my coldest and busiest days of the semester. Short. Sweet. To the point.
1. Stay focused. Stay organized!!!
You remember that “YOU” at the beginning of the semester, with your day planner in hand and your brand new pens ready to tackle your grades, one class at a time. Continue being that person! Staying focused goes hand in hand with staying organized.
2. Don’t cram – don’t procrastinate.
I could’ve separated these two because they do have separate identities but guess what? Not here, these two are interchangable because they both have the ability to become detrimental to your academic career and beyond. There are some of my biggest struggles to this day because of my busy schedule but trust me. Cutting these habits out while you are ahead of the game while pay you tremendously.
3. Start your projects early!
I learned my lesson on this one, start drafting project as SOON as you get that syllabus. Okay!! You’ll thank yourself for it. I $
4. GET SOME SLEEP!
Like Hello zombie! Yes, i’m talking to you. Sleep is essential, and believe me when I tell you – your grades will suffer more without it. So stop the cramming, because hey in case no one told you, it’s okay to get some sleep. It’s all about balance. Knowing how to manage your time and your studies, will be one of the most important things you will learn in college.
5. Be Proud Of Yourself .
Why as people are we so hard on ourselves? The most valuable thing you can do to live a healthy lifestyle is to be proud of yourself. Be pro
I know this may not apply to many of you Rockstars because you have been killing the game all semester with your good grades. But if you are anything like me, this just might come in handy!
